Entries Info

Abandonment Refund Policy (In accordance to  2022 BE Rule 4.12.2)
Should the event be abandoned (as defined in BE Rule 4.11) including if the event is prohibited or advised against running by the UK government or a government agency either regionally or nationally as a result of a notifiable disease the scale of refund of entry fees and late entry fees will be as follows:
Stage 1 – Before Ballot Date – Full refund
Stage 2 – Between Ballot Date to 14 days prior to start date of the competition – 50% refund
Stage 3 – Between 6 to 13 days prior to event start date – 30% refund
Stage 4 – Between 5 days of the event starting and 17:00hrs the afternoon before – 15%
Stage 5 – from 17:00hrs the afternoon before the event in question – No refund

Glamis CF& HT will endeavour to provide refunds to competitors in the event of abandonment  over and above the agreed abandonment policy but this will be once all other contractual obligations have been met.


British Eventing have made the decision, based on equine welfare best practice, to reintroduce the Equine Self Certification form requirement.  This will mean that with immediate effect all entries will require that a completed form be submitted prior to arrival at the events, failure to do so will mean you will not be allowed onto site- please ensure you do this when you are printing your number.
The stable manager will be checking this on arrival.


Entrance Policy

This is a ticket ONLY event

All competitors will require a vehicle pass to access the event.  You will be allocated either a STABLES pass if you have booked stabling or a DAY LORRY pass if you are coming for the day.  These will be issued via email in the week prior to the event to the email address used when making your entry.  It is the RIDERS’s responsibility to ensure they have downloaded and printed the pass and display it correctly in their lorry.  If your pass is sent to the email given on your enty it is YOUR responsibility to gain access to the pass.  These passes will be scanned and are valid once and ONLY with horse transport.

Due to space restrictions, cars will not be permitted  into either of the lorry parks.  Any additional vehicle passes for those not travelling with the horse transport must be purchased  on line and as this is being run as a TICKET ONLY event – purchased in advance online.

Each RIDER will be issued with a  maxinmum of TWO wristbands to gain entry to the event site.  These are not issued PER HORSE.  All admin pertaining to the horse trials can be accessed without entering the Country Fair area.  The  Show Jumping phase will take place within the  Country Fair Area and is therefore chargeable to those not in possession of a wristband or BE Membership card ( see below)
BE Membership cards are valid at the point of entry for the member named on the card only.  Guests will require their own pass.
We are unable to issue refunds in the case of lost or forgotten cards  or passes.

We would encourage all riders to enter the Country Fair site to browse the array of shops and catering outlets  and as a result have issued what the Organisers feel is a fair allocation of wristbands for you to do so.  However, we would ask that you do not abuse our gate staff or turn up expecting to gain entry without a ticket.

Stabling will be on site at Glamis in 100 portable Cherval stables on straw ONLY  and  can be booked by clicking here

Refunds  for stabling will be  made POST EVENT – if you require to sell your stable to another competitior please advise us immediately on info@glamiscountryfair.co.uk.

Refreshments available with the opportunity to sample artisan foods.  Accommodation list available from Organiser.
