Rider Info

Welcome to Glamis!

Dear Rider

Thank you for your support by entering Glamis Horse Trials or Arena Event. We really appreciate your support for our grand come-back, having been unable to run since the award-winning inaugural event in 2019.

The team are now busy on-site with the set up and build and the time will fly by, so it seemed sensible to drop you all an email with a few bits of “housekeeping”

Hook Up

As you may have seen on Facebook, we need more hook ups booked in the lorry park to make the expense of the generators and infrastructure worthwhile. If you want a hook up and have not yet booked it, please do so by end of play today as that is when we will be taking the decision. The hook ups are heavily subsidised, as is the stabling, as we are acutely aware that the cost of attending events has increased hugely over the past year. Book here.

You will need a lorry pass in order to get onto siteThere are 2 types of pass:

  1. Stables pass
  2. Day lorry pass

It is YOUR responsibility to make sure you have the correct pass – preferably displayed in your window. These will be emailed on Tuesday next week to the email address given on entry (day passes) or to the email address given on booking stabling (stables pass). Please check your junk mail if you have not received your pass. If you still do not have the pass, please email tickets@glamiscountryfair.co.uk giving all your entry details so you can be traced.

Your lorry ticket will enable you and everyone with you to enter the lorry parks. In order to enter the show field, you will need either a BE membership card per person or a wristband per person. Policy on wristbands is on our website. Any additional attendees will need to purchase a ticket – these are only available via the website, so please do book in advance on the off chance your allocation does not cover your party.

WhatsApp Group

For those of you who use WhatsApp, we have created a rider group that you can join using a link – click here to join. The group is for questions, answers and info. Please use the group wisely – bullying and rudeness will not be tolerated. Answers from the office may not be immediate, as we have a lot to cover, but maybe a fellow competitor may have the answer for you! If the group begins to get out of hand, it will revert to admin only posts. Please use this service as opposed to Facebook – we employ a social media specialist who may not have immediate knowledge of the answers, so it will take time to come back to you via Facebook.

Who to contact?

Hopefully your entry and competition will go smoothly, but if for any reason you can’t find what you need (please do look on the website or the BE schedule -there is lots of info there!) then try these people:

BE Entries – Tanya Adamson – tanya.adamson@btinternet.com before Wednesday 27th and after that contact the Scorer Kate Carmen – katecarman.kc@gmail.com

Tickets – tickets@glamiscountryfair.co.uk

Arena Event or Stabling queries- info@glamiscountryfair.co.uk

General event queries – info@glamiscountryfair.co.uk

Hopefully that answers many of your questions, so all that remains is for James, Nicky and the whole team here at Glamis to wish you a safe journey and we will see you next week!
