Glamis Country Fair and Horse Trials require a Site Manager for the set up and take down of the 2020 event. This position will run from Monday 20th July until Tuesday 4th August. The position involves responsibility for all on site contractors – and dealing with allocation of equipment arriving on site. This is in addition to the general tasks required during the set up and take down of the event.
It is an advantage but not necessary to have Chainsaw and Forklift tickets as well as supply of own tools and must have the ability to organise and manage a Site Crew and will report direct to the Event Manager on site. Previous experience in this field would be an advantage but not essential.
Remuneration and hours by negotiation
To register interest email firstname.lastname@example.org outlining details of experience and qualifications
The day-to-day admin and organisation is done by a small team, although it takes plenty of contractors and volunteers to put on an event of this size! The permanent team are:
Organiser James Helyer
Assistant Organiser Thomas Helyer
Event Admin Nicky Helyer & Jane McLean
Event Manager Samantha Wade
The sport of eventing relies heavily on volunteers who enjoy being involved. No experience is necessary, as you can be paired with someone knowledgeable until you get the hang of it! We are looking for people with a variety of skills, so if you haven’t volunteered before, why not give it a go? If you have previously been involved in volunteering at an event, we would also like to hear from you, so please drop us an email outlining what you might like to do and what time you can spare over the event.
The variety of roles means that you can choose from something active or sedentary, inside or outside, a thinking job away from it all or something close up to the horses.
