Visitor Information

It is with deepest regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Glamis Castle Country Fair and Horse Trials.

The ongoing situation with Covid-19 makes it impossible for the show to go on this year, but we will be back in 2021 – provisional dates are 30th July – 1st August.

Location: Glamis Castle, by Forfar DD8 1RJ.  Please follow signage to the event

Opening Times: equestrian competition will begin at approximately 8am daily and finish at approximately 5pm, subject to level of entries. Tradestands will be open from 9am to 5pm daily and other activities will take place within this timeframe.  Gates will be open from 7.30am and close at 6.30pm.

Tickets: please refer to ticket page for full ticket pricing and details. Entrance tickets will be required on all days.

Dogs: dogs are an integral part of the event and are very welcome.  Please ensure that your dog stays on a lead throughout the event site – loose dogs can be very dangerous, especially near horses.  Dogs must not be left in cars and the organisers reserve the right to take any steps necessary should a dog be found in distress in the car park.  Please clear up after your dog and put mess in the bin – do not leave bags around the event site!

Disabilities: we welcome visitors of all abilities to the event, but please be aware of uneven ground conditions due to the nature of the event site.  Accessible toilets will be available on site. Parking for disabled visitors will be available for Blue Badge holders.
